Tour Description:
I will pick you from your hotel or Airbnb and we will hit the Heroes Square to give you a basic insight about Hungarian culture and Budapest. From here we will go further to the Central Market. In the Market we will try out the world famous Hungarian salamis and all sorts of local finger food.
Once we feel like overwhelmed by the vibration of the market, we will escape to the Saint Stephen Basilica to charge our batteries for more food and more senstations. We will enter the Basilica, which is a must see icon, even in a food tour.
I will bring you to my favourite restaurant where we will consume our food like a local, therefore I will order a typical appetizer. From the kick-off appetizer the Goulash will be like a blessing.
Further, we will visit the vibrant Jewish quarter and I will tell you more about Hungarian history and more specifically about how Ruin Pubs were created. We will stop by the famous Hungarian-Jewish pastry shop to taste a unique confectionery. I promise you will always remember it.
We will pass next to vibrant murals and we will arrive to another food market, which is a hidden gem known by locals mostly. This will be the place where we will eat a hearty Langosh.
I’m sure that at this point you will be on cloud no. 9, but there will be still place to go. The crown on the tour will be a confectionery keeping the tradition from the period of the Monarchy, where we will have a world class confectionery.
