Art Nouveau Tour

approx. 4 hours

Tour Description:

The tour covers both sides of the Danube banks, therefore I will pick you from your hotel or Airbnb and first I’ll make sure to show you the most prominent Art Nouveau beauties that the Buda side can offer. We will visit the magnificent Art Nouveau halls of the Gellert bath house, and I’ll tell you about the heydays of Hungary and how bath culture became a central part of our earthly recreation.

We will not miss the chance to ponder at the river, and after we cross the Liberty Bridge we will hit the Pest side where further wonders will be awaiting us. We will see Art Nouveau buildings from outside, but I’ll make sure that you will see some of them from inside too. Guess what? I also live in an Art Nouveau building, so I’ll bring you to my building to tell its story and some fun facts about how these buildings took shape at the turn of the century.

We will visit the Hungarian Art Nouveau Museum, which is a mind blowing beauty with dozens of Art Nouveau furniture and objects.

We will walk quite a lot during this tour, therefore you will need not to worry about the calories, when I will bring you to my favourite confectionery, and you’ll be my guest to heavenly tasting confectionery along with something refreshing to drink and to further chat and to give you tips & tricks for your stay in Budapest.

I’m sure you’ll love it, and the tour will be a memory for a lifetime.
